April 2nd - Jenny O'Leary workshop - Batik on tissue - Natural forms 

A large group of us had a wonderful workshop with Jenny creating lovely effects with batik on tissue. Jenny started the day showing some of her work and then demonstrated the layering of tissue and other papers to create a background

  

Jenny then demonstrated the use of various tools and utensils to create marks on paper and the tissue.

  

She then showed the effects of spraying a bleach solution on to the waxed tissue.

   

The final process 

was to add ink onto the bleached background
