April 23rd. Members Si and Stitch and Open Day

A large number of our members gathered together to Sit and Stitch and generally catch up. It was such a lovely day. We discussed pieces that we are working on . We had also invited members of the public to come along and meet us and hopefully  they would like to join us.

We were also delighted to welcome Gill and Jane Gregory from Birmingham Embroidery and Textile Art group who had coordinated the Commonwealth  project . 12 of our members had taken part. They brought along the commonwealth panels which included all 72 countries that are taking part in the games and their own Birmingham panel. It was good to see the panels before they go on their travels.

                                                                                                   

 

Our members also brought work that they had done in previous workshops, together with collaborative pieces that we had worked on and work that will be going into forthcoming exhibitions
