On Saturday 21st March 17 of us  arrived at Parkfield Quilting Retreat in Stourport and were welcomed by the owner Kath . We were looking forward to a weekend with Annette Emms and fellow members of our branch 2 day workshop designing embellished books.

Annette introduced to the books we were going to make

And off we went some using embellishing machines .........

........and some using hand embellishers

Clare having a break amongst the fabric and threads

everybody brought lots of lovely fabrics and threads

Some just like the peace and quiet

Often we gathered together as a group to learn another technique

Ruth having a lie down on her favourite chair

Time to chat

A well earned drink in the evening

Time for a quiz devised by Lillian.

On Sunday we learned another technique of painting on to organdie

We were spellbound by Annettte's wonderful books

And Annette's faces from her sketch book

Clare's book in progress

Dina's book

Margaret B's

Time to colour in.

We had lovely food

A very cluttered work room

time to enjoy the sunshine

More of Annette's work
