Saturday 19th March - Coiled pots - Una Smith

25 of us had a lovely relaxed Saturday making coiled pots.

After Una showed us the pots that she had made

she then explained the initial process. This involved wrapping a cord ( washing line) with torn strips of fabric. This was then coiled and stitched with a variety of yarns . The coils were formed round a variety of vessels or bowls to create the final show, stitching the coils as we went up the container.

The finished pots

Thank you Una.
