3D felting with Deb Roberts

We have just had a brilliant day making felt bowls with Deb Roberts. Everybody took home at least 1 completed bowl but many of us made 2 and some even 3. someone made a handbag and two others made  tall vessels as opposed to round bowls. The pieces were beautiful as can be seen in the photos below. Deb took us through the basics and although it seemed complicated we all soon got into the flow. Deb was kept really busy running round the room helping all. I am sure we have all gone home with aching backs , arms and shoulders but absolutely delighted with the pieces we have made.

Deb shows us how to lay out our fibres on either side of a plastic circle
Then knees bent and off we roll

Then the magic - remove the plastic innards - turn it inside out and we have a bowl
Debbie's bowl!
Off we go selecting our fibres and laying them out

Carole getting 1 to 1 tuition!

Roll, Roll, Roll away !

Heads down ,knees bent and keep rolling!

Elaine's beautiful colours
Joy checking her notes - Now what do I do ?

Thats it!!

Work in progress

Don't ask - make your own mind up!! but lovely colours

This and all the following bowls are work in progress and finished by lunchtime. They are all gorgeous

Oh Happy band of Felters!!!
Everyone agreed that we had an amazing productive day as you can see by these beautiful vessels!
Even if the chair went home soaked to the skin!!
